Novecento, written by Alessandro Baricco for actor Eugenio Allegri and director Gabriele Vacis, premiered at AstiTeatro in the Summer of 1994. Since that Summer and throughout the rest of his life, Allegri took part in the play in theatres all over Europe with the same passion as the first time around. Thirty years after the monologue’s debut and two years after his passing, Gabriele Vacis directs a choral reading for which Roberto Tarasco has provided the scenography and settings. The production also includes memories and anecdotes about the show, which played a significant role in the history of Italian theatre. The cast includes Lucia Corna, Pietro Maccabei, Letizia Russo, Lorenzo Tombesi and Gabriele Valchera.
