A Ballad For Three Men And A Woman

Writer and journalist Alberto Bassetti has adapted Paolo Rumiz’s bestseller to create a compelling and evocative play featuring Maddalena Crippa and Maximilian Nisi. The play tells a love story that spans Europe from Sarajevo to Istanbul and challenges our certainties. It asks what Europe is founded on if not on shared fates, blood, and loves born from the ashes of destroyed buildings and the shrapnel of bombs that devastated age-old architecture. Europe is the product of these narratives; we are the result of processes that intertwine with our individual stories. The play features original music by Mario Incudine, performed live.
