Arturo Cirillo directs and stars in a new adaptation of the immortal story of Don Giovanni. Throughout the career of the multi-award-winning artist, Molière has held a prominent place: starting from the tale of the great seducer, Cirillo employs different forms and theatrical codes, at times touching on the theater of the absurd, while Mozart’s music narrates both grace and the inescapable tragedy. Because, in the end, this is also the story of someone who does not want—or cannot—stop playing, acting, seducing; endlessly, starting over each time, until it leads to death. A race toward the abyss, a desperate yet intensely vital dance on the edge of the precipice, a challenge to fate that manages to blend Molière’s paradoxical and obsessive comedy with the poetry and lightness of Da Ponte.
