A man, a woman, and a trauma buried in the past. He doesn’t remember; she assists him. The dialogue between them is a continuous spiral, a perpetual restart, and perhaps, a few steps forward in understanding and memory. There are no escape routes, only words: his are confused, those of a passionate yet sometimes cruel performer; hers are clear and patient, encouraging him, cornering him, and calling him to account for his responsibilities. What really happened? Who are these two individuals who seem to know each other more deeply than they reveal? Why does that knot of pain seem so insoluble? In this brief, everyday family drama, one might feel there are no answers to these questions, but the portraits of these two characters—brought to life by Linda Gennari and Antonio Zavatteri—fill the stage and transform into a sharp collective mirror. This fresco of emotions is crafted by the dramatic talent of Nicolas Bedos, the multi-award-winning director, screenwriter, and author of the new French scene, and the directorial expertise of Davide Livermore.
