Girolamo Di Spelta is a betrayed husband whose obsession for control and his inability to love and trust reflect the challenges and difficulties of relationships for contemporary men. Natalino Balasso and Michele Di Mauro, directed by Gabriele Russo, tackle one of the most intense works by the great Eduardo De Filippo. This bitter comedy resembles Pirandello’s sad reflection on existence and, at the same time, is a tribute to the theatre, to fiction and to the illusions that make it possible for us to live.
