On the fortieth anniversary of their artistic journey, the Marcido return to Greek tragedy—an underlying theme in their work—this time tackling Euripides for the first time. The text, infused with the sharp pen of Marco Isidori, undergoes a rewriting that brings Attic sensibility into the present day. The Marcido Chorus, always an integral part of the stage machinery, will this time scale Pentheus’ Palace—the latest invention by set designer Daniela Dal Cin—besiege it, and conquer it, entering the Dionysian magma that pulses through the mysterious substance of this work. On stage: Paolo Oricco, Maria Luisa Abate, Valentina Battistone, Ottavia Della Porta, Alessio Arbustini, Alessandro Bosticco, and Marco Isidori himself.
