On the Day of the Dead, an old man, alone in an empty house, mixes the dough to make a pupo di zucchero (sugar puppet). As he waits for the dough to rise, the house becomes alive with memories and life. Emma Dante directs this production that is in conversation with Sicilian tradition but also speaks to present-day man and his fears.
