Based on a true story, the play is set in 1985 during a climb in the Peruvian Andes, where mountaineers Joe Simpson and Simon Yates fall victim to an accident during their descent, resulting in Joe’s fall into a crevasse. To avoid being dragged down with his companion, Simon is forced to cut the climbing rope. For the first time in Italy, the Scottish playwright’s text explores the theme of choices—both ethical and otherwise—that shape events. Directed by Silvio Peroni, the cast features Lodo Guenzi (Lo Stato Sociale), Eleonora Giovanardi, Giovanni Anzaldo, and Matteo Gatta.
