A house in the heart of a forest, a few months after the disappearance of Matilde—an expert ornithologist and the last inhabitant of the home now occupied by her twin brother Theo. It is here that the elder brother, Luka, returns, accompanied by his new girlfriend, Anna. This theatrical work by lacasadargilla, directed by Lisa Ferlazzo Natoli and Alessandro Ferroni, immerses itself in a world suspended between presences and absences, exploring the subtle interplay between human beings (dead and alive) and animals (alive and dead). Uccellini speaks of the fears that take shape in our everyday actions, the strategies of communication among living beings, and the deceptive webs we often weave—only to find ourselves caught within them. Against this backdrop, the incessant chirping of birds resonates: at times they are alive and free, at others preserved as precious collectibles. It is a work that invites the audience to reflect on the relationships between living creatures and the mystery surrounding our most intimate fears.
