Wonderland is a contemporary revisitation of Alice in Wonderland. A cast of actors, circus performers and dancers recreates an extraordinary world in which little Alice can experience the freedom of her body and imagine she can express herself and her femininity as she wishes, unconstrained by gender expectations and norms. The EFFE Collective’s work pursues performance methods that combine the use of the body and words with that of live video, aiming to create perception-based atmospheres that transport the audience to alternative worlds.
